How many people visit your site each month? How many of them call? Which words did they search to find you? If the answer is "I do not know", you cannot tell what your ad and SEO spend is returning either. Measurement setup is dull, but everything else rests on it.

After setup
You own the accounts; we are added as a manager. When the setup is finished we give you a short screen tour: where to find each report and what each number means. If you like, we prepare and send a monthly summary.
This setup comes as standard with every website Softio builds. If your site was built elsewhere, we can do the setup separately.
How does the setup work?
- Checking what is already there: We first look at whether an Analytics or Search Console account already exists for your site, whether the code is working and whether the same code has been added twice.
- Opening the accounts: If there are no accounts, we open them under your own Google account. If there are, you simply give us admin access. You never need to share your password.
- Placing the tags: We connect Google Analytics 4 and the other tracking codes to the site through Tag Manager. In Search Console we verify your domain and submit the sitemap.
- Defining conversions: Together we decide what counts as a "result" for you: a phone click, a WhatsApp message, a form or an order.
- Testing and handover: We trigger each conversion ourselves to check it, then walk you through the screens.
Who needs it?
Every business with a website. It should not be put off in these cases in particular:
- You run ads but do not know which ad makes the phone ring.
- You are paying for SEO work and want to see the progress with your own eyes.
- Your site has just gone live and you are waiting for Google to find your pages.
- You have an old Analytics account that nobody has looked at for years.
What should you watch out for?
Analytics does not collect data retrospectively. You cannot see anything from before the day it was set up, so "we will look at it later" means losing data. The second point is ownership: the accounts should be tied to your Google account, not the agency's. If you change agency, years of data stay with you. Finally, the cookie consent banner should not be decoration; tracking codes should not run until the visitor agrees.

Are Google Analytics and Search Console paid tools?
No, both are free tools from Google. What you pay for is the work of setting them up and tracking conversions. The price depends on your site's platform, the number of conversions to track and the ad accounts to be linked. A written, itemised quote is free.
What is the difference between GA4 and Search Console?
Search Console shows what happens on Google before people reach your site: which searches you appeared in, at what position, and how many people clicked. Google Analytics 4 shows what happens after they arrive: which pages they viewed, who called, who filled in a form. One does not replace the other; they are used together.
How long does setup take, and when will I see data?
The time depends on the site's platform and the number of conversions, and is given in writing with the quote. Analytics data starts to flow shortly after setup. Search data in Search Console takes a few days to build up. We explained when to expect results on the SEO side in this article.
My site was built by another company. Can you still set it up?
Yes. Access to the site's admin panel or to the Tag Manager account is enough. Setup is also possible on ready-made e-commerce platforms; which conversions can be tracked depends on what the platform allows. It makes no difference whether you are in Istanbul or another city, as the setup is done remotely.
