Digital Business Card

A personal page that opens from a QR code and saves to contacts with one tap.

You hand over a card, it goes into a pocket and is never looked at again. A digital business card stays on the phone. Whoever scans the QR code saves your name, number and address to their contacts with one tap, messages you on WhatsApp or gets directions to your location.

What is included?

  • A one-page card site designed for you or your company
  • Save-to-contacts, call, WhatsApp, email and directions buttons
  • Links for social media, catalogue, bank details and so on
  • A print-ready QR code for cards, signage and packaging
  • Published on your own domain or a subdomain of your company
  • Multiple cards for staff

Who uses it?

Estate agents, lawyers, doctors, sales reps and anyone who meets a lot of people in the field. Around trade fairs we prepare digital cards in the same design for whole teams. When your details change there is no reprint; you simply update the page.

If you also want to refresh your printed card, our corporate identity service prepares both in the same style.

How does a digital business card work?

  1. The person in front of you points their phone camera at the QR code.
  2. Your card page opens in the browser. No app download is needed.
  3. They tap "Save to contacts". Your name, number, email and address are added to their contacts.
  4. From the same page they can call you, message you on WhatsApp or get directions.

The QR code does not have to live only on a printed card. You can show it on your phone screen or put it in your email signature, on your sign, on your vehicle or on product packaging. Sending the page link over WhatsApp does the same job.

How does the process work?

  1. You send us your details, your logo and a photo if you have one.
  2. We prepare the design and send it for your approval.
  3. We publish the page on your domain or on a subdomain.
  4. We deliver the QR code as a print-ready file.

For team cards the design is done once, and a separate page and QR code are produced for each member of staff. A card can be added for a new starter, and the page of someone who has left can be closed.

What should you watch out for?

  • Keep the address permanent. A QR code points to a web address. If the page sits on your own domain, the codes you print will still work years later.
  • Print the QR code large enough. A camera cannot read a code that is too small or printed on a glossy surface. Scan a proof before the print run.
  • Keep the page simple. A card page is not a brochure. Contact details should be visible on the first screen.
  • Choose what you share. The page is public. Whether to include your mobile number or bank details is your decision.

Frequently asked questions about digital business cards

What determines the price of a digital business card?

The number of cards (one person or a team), the scope of the design, whether a separate domain is registered and whether you also want printed cards. Our written quote is free. Items renewed yearly, such as a domain, are shown separately in the quote.

If my details change, do I have to reprint the QR code?

No. The QR code carries the address of the page, not the information on it. When your phone number or job title changes, the page is updated and the printed codes stay the same.

Does a QR business card open on every phone?

The camera on current iPhone and Android phones reads QR codes directly. Because the page is an ordinary web page, no special app is required. An internet connection is enough.

Can a card site replace a website?

No. A card site is for someone who has met you to save your details. For someone who does not know you to find you on Google, you need a site that describes your services. If you are just starting out, a landing page fits; for a fuller presentation, a corporate website. We can prepare both in the same design style.

Frequently asked

How long does a website take?

It depends on the scope. A one-page site goes live within days and a corporate site usually within a few weeks. E-commerce and custom software projects take longer. You get a firm delivery date in writing with the quote.

How are prices set?

The number of pages, whether the design is custom, the functions required (payments, bookings, multiple languages and so on) and who prepares the content. After hearing what you need we send an itemised quote, and the quote is free.

Can I update the site myself afterwards?

Yes. Every site is delivered with an admin panel. You can change text, photos, products and prices without needing anyone. At handover we also show you how to use it.

Will my site show up on Google?

All our sites ship with the SEO foundation in place and Search Console and Analytics set up, so your site is submitted to and crawled by Google. Reaching the top for competitive keywords takes ongoing SEO work. Nobody can guarantee first place; be wary of anyone who does.

Do you also provide the domain and hosting?

Yes, we provide domain registration, hosting, SSL and business email. The domain is registered in your name. If you already have a domain or hosting we can use it or migrate it to us.

Tell us about your business and we will map out the right route together.
