Not every business needs a mobile app. It is worth saying that up front, because a well-built mobile-friendly site often does the same job. But if your customers use you frequently, if you need to send notifications, or if your field team works from their phones, an app makes a real difference.

What is it suited to?
Ordering and appointment apps, membership platforms, courier and field team tracking and dealer ordering apps are what we build most often. If you are still at the idea stage, we suggest releasing a small first version and testing it with real users, so the budget does not go on features nobody uses.
The admin panel and services behind the app are built by our custom software team, so the app and the web side never fall between two suppliers.
How does mobile app development work?
- Idea and needs meeting: Who will use the app, for what and how often? We talk it through. If a mobile-friendly site would do the job, we recommend that instead.
- Screen mock-ups: We draw the route a user will take through the app, screen by screen.
- Design: The approved mock-ups are dressed in your brand's colours and typefaces.
- Development: The app and the panel and services behind it are built together.
- Testing: You install a trial version on your own phone and use it in real conditions.
- Store submission: The screenshots, descriptions and privacy texts required by the App Store and Google Play are prepared and the app is submitted.
- After launch: Updates are released in line with user feedback.
What you should know before starting
- Store accounts should be opened in your name. The app is your property. If the developer account belongs to your company, you will not depend on anyone later.
- Store fees are separate. Apple and Google charge their own fee for a developer account. That payment goes directly to them.
- Approval time is in the stores' hands. Apple and Google review every app and sometimes ask for changes. Leave room for this when planning a launch date.
- An app is not built once and left. Phone operating systems are renewed every year, and the app has to keep up.
- Downloads need promotion. Being live in the store does not mean users will find the app by themselves.

What does the cost of a mobile app depend on?
The number of screens, modules such as accounts, payments, maps and push notifications, the scope of the admin panel and any integration with your existing systems. After hearing your idea we send a written, itemised quote for the first version. The quote is free. Maintenance after launch is shown as a separate item.
How long before a mobile app is live?
It depends on the scope. A simple first version is finished within weeks; a multi-module app takes months. Store review time comes on top. We give the schedule in writing with the quote.
Do I pay separately for iOS and Android?
No. We build the app from a single codebase and the same work is published on both platforms. That lowers both the initial cost and the cost of later updates. If you want to publish on one platform only, we can discuss that in the meeting too.
I have a website. Do I really need an app?
If your customers use you a few times a year, probably not. In that case a good mobile-friendly website or an online store that takes orders is enough. If you need frequent use, notifications or phone features such as location or the camera, an app is the right call.
